Laura Sagen
Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development

Laura Sagen joined Casey Family Programs in 1994 and became an executive vice president in November 2009. She oversees employee relations, compensation, benefits, retention, recruitment, training and development, as well as leadership development, performance management and organizational development.

Career highlights
Ms. Sagen has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, most of it with Casey Family Programs. She has contributed greatly to the expansion and growth of the foundation’s human resources team.

She has worked her way up through the organization, starting as an employee benefits specialist in 1994, and has held various positions over the years. Prior to becoming executive vice president, she was senior director of human resources for eight years.

Prior to joining Casey Family Programs, Ms. Sagen worked in human resources at Burlington Northern Railroad (now BNSF Railway), and as a group account service representative at CIGNA Insurance Co.

She has a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science degree from Southern Methodist University.

Public service, honors and professional affiliations
Ms. Sagen has earned the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource and of World at Work (formerly American Compensation Association).
