Become a Foster Family

You can make a difference to youth who need a home.

To become a foster parent, you don’t need a fancy house, a spouse or partner, or extensive caregiving experience.

You do need a commitment to learning and working as part of a team, a sense of humor, flexibility, and patience.

And you need the desire to provide a stable and supportive home for a young person.

Consider becoming a Casey foster parent
We are actively recruiting foster parents in eight Casey communities:

  • Arizona: Phoenix
  • California: Bay Area and San Diego
  • Idaho: Boise
  • Texas: Austin and San Antonio
  • Washington: Seattle and Yakima

Pre-teens and teenagers who have entered the foster care system need loving and dedicated adults to welcome them into their homes and nurture them to a healthy, self-sufficient adulthood.

We’re looking for all types of stable and supportive families—single parents, married couples, families of color, empty nesters, home owners, renters, and parents who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual.

What you can expect
Every year children of color enter the foster care system in disproportionately high numbers. Casey Family Programs is committed to diversity and anti-racism, and we provide culturally appropriate services for foster parents.

Casey has been providing and working to improve foster care for over 40 years. We have a rich history of helping foster families to be successful caregivers for the youth in our care.

We invite you to learn more about becoming a foster parent with Casey.
