Partners

Casey Family Programs partners with national and local organizations across the country. These partners include:

  • associations that represent state governments, local governments, and judiciary
  • state, county, and tribal child welfare agencies
  • universities
  • national nonprofit organizations
  • foundations
  • private corporations and philanthropists
  • faith based organizations
  • community based organizations
  • foster parents
  • youth and adults who have been in foster care

In addition to establishing partnerships with individual organizations, Casey also brings partners together to form collaborative efforts that pool resources to accelerate change in child welfare systems. Casey has helped convene these national collaborations:

Casey-CSSP Alliance for Racial Equity in Child Welfare
Children of color are over-represented in child welfare systems. In foster care, they suffer far worse outcomes—in terms of physical and mental health, educational performance, and access to basic services and resources. Six organizations have joined the alliance to address these racial inequities.

National Foster Care Month Partnership
This partnership consists of fourteen organizations working together to raise public awareness on the many ways individuals can get involved in the life of a child in foster care.

National Working Group on Foster Care and Education
The Working Group is a partnership of twelve organizations promoting successful educational outcomes for children and youth in foster care. The Working Group is committed to heightening awareness of the educational needs of children and youth in care and to advancing promising practices and reforms across education, child welfare, and judicial systems.
