Safely reducing the number of youth in foster care
Casey Family Programs' 2020 Strategy drives our work with state, county and tribal child welfare systems to to safely reduce the number of children in foster care by 50% by the year 2020.

The Bay Area Field Office helps to contribute to this goal locally by:

  • Providing services that create safety, permanence and well-being for children and youth.
  • Engaging in partnerships with Alameda County Social Services Agency Department of Children and Family Services, Juvenile Probation and other community based organizations.
  • Addressing the over-representation of children and youth of color in foster care.
