WHAT:
Sponsored by Casey Family Programs, this free event at the base of the Space Needle will celebrate National Foster Care Month with a special emphasis on supporting those youth aging out of care.

Event will include speakers, booths, giveaways, face painters, caricature artists, jugglers, balloon artists, and activities to engage the community around ways to get involved. Educational information, employment referrals, housing opportunities, and other guides will be on hand to help support youth as they prepare to transition out of the foster care system.

WHO:
Special Guests Speakers: Tony Shellman, Kashif, Josh Shipp.

Tony Shellman is a trendsetter in the hip-hop and fashion industries and a co-founder of the successful and popular clothing lines Mecca USA and Enyce. Abandoned as an infant and later adopted into a loving family, he now hopes to see safe and loving homes for all foster children.

Tony Shellman will be featured on stage at 12:30.

Kashif is an accomplished musician, producer, songwriter, and lecturer. Growing up in eight foster homes, he joined the funk band B.T. Express when he was 15 and went on to write or produce for such major artists as Whitney Houston, George Benson, Al Jarreau, and many more. His solo albums have sold gold and platinum.

Kashif will be featured on stage at 2:00.

Josh Shipp is an author, TV host and personality, and a motivational speaker for youth and young adults all over the country. His story of triumph over the hardships and agonies of his early years becomes an inspiration to everyone who hears him.
