The California Foster Youth Education Task Force formed in 2004. It seeks to open channels of communication among foster parents, educators and education administrators, child welfare professionals, probation officers, judges, relatives, and foster youth themselves.
The 2007 California Foster Youth Education Summit convened these entities to discuss issues that affect foster youth education in California.
This report summarizes recommendations developed during the summit. Policy briefs prepared before the summit are available from the Child and Family Policy Institute of California.
