Alumni of foster care are continuing to take a part in the child welfare system as resource families, as child welfare professionals, and as providers of expertise for foster care program development, legislative education and advocacy, and as public speakers about their experiences. Alumni of foster care are also organizing across the country, seeking to establish a national network and a shared voice in shaping child welfare practice and policy.

- Conducting extensive interviews for the National Alumni Study
- Investing in the creation of FCAA (Foster Care Alumni of America)
- Research on promising and effective employment practices
- Developing the Better Together consulting methodology
- Building partnerships that include meaningful alumni participation
