Charlotte Goodluck uses both qualitative and quantitative approaches to expand the research literature that studies Native American children and youth from a strengths perspective.

This exploratory investigation provides:

  • Recommendations for research, policy, and practice
  • A “Three Domains of Native American Well-Being Indicators Model”

The author offers both for potential use in discussions with tribes seeking to address problems in their communities from a strengths perspective.

This 58-page report was published in December 2002 by the National Indian Children’s Alliance, a joint effort of the National Indian Child Welfare Association and Casey Family Programs.
