Norwood report cover

Neighborhood based prevention
In 2005, Casey Family Programs joined the Norwood Healthy Start Collaborative at Norwood Street Elementary School in Service Planning Area (SPA) 6

Through collaborative partnerships with local organizations, Casey Family Programs is working to increase the protective factors that can help prevent child abuse and neglect. The partnership is also working with the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services to help them expand their reach and interactions with the community in order to form a solid base of prevention and family support.

Report on the community's strengths, needs, assets, and resources
This report identifies the strengths and needs of families and children in SPA 6. This community assessment will help partners in Casey's neighborhood based prevention initiative address needs while building upon family and community strengths.
