Indian child and family well-being <\/h1>\n \n

Casey Family Programs partners with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes across the country to strengthen their capacity to keep children healthy,\u00a0<\/span>safe<\/span>\u00a0and connected with their families,\u00a0<\/span>communities<\/span>\u00a0and cultures. We support their development and administration of effective and culturally responsive child welfare and well-being services.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n \n

Partnering with tribes<\/div>\n

Supporting Tribal Nation capacity, sovereignty and self-governance<\/h2>\n

Casey Family Programs\u2019 agreements with Tribes honor Tribal sovereignty, support nation-building efforts and help build partnerships with the broader child welfare profession. We implement a variety of national strategies designed to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Demonstrate and spread effective and culturally relevant Tribal child well-being practice and policy<\/li>\n
  • Support Tribes\u2019 capacity to access state and federal funding streams and build their infrastructure to provide necessary services<\/li>\n
  • Strengthen Tribal and state partnerships and support the effective implementation of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and its gold standard principles of child welfare practice<\/li>\n
  • Help Tribes with prevention and reunification efforts, connecting children with their families, communities and culture<\/li>\n
  • Engage Tribal leaders, families and youth as active participants in improving the well-being of families<\/li>\n
  • Work with partners across the country to provide technical assistance and support on ICWA implementation and Tribally led programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
