The Bay Area Field Office, located in the Oakland area since 1988, serves families and young adults in partnership with Alameda County Department of Children and Family Services. We provide clinical case management and work toward reunification, legal guardianship and building on family strengths and natural network connections. We support kinship caregivers and birth parents to work toward achieving safety, permanence and well-being for all youth and their families.

We are part of Casey Family Programs’ Child and Family Services team, which also operates field offices in Arizona, Idaho, Texas and Washington, all focused on the urgent and relentless pursuit of securing lifelong, permanent connections for every youth we serve.

We prioritize supporting youth ages 11 to 18, their siblings, caregivers and birth families as well as emerging adults up to age 26 who are involved in the child welfare system. We work as a team with families, youth and other providers to address the goals and interests of the family and youth to be and feel safe and to heal from trauma. We honor the unique culture of each youth and family, including racial and ethnic identity, sexual orientation and gender identity expression, and religious and spiritual beliefs. We recognize that families and youth of color are disproportionately impacted by systems, and we work to address disparities through anti-racist practices, including centering the voices of youth and families in the development of services and the achievement of their goals.
