Casey Family Programs partners with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes and communities to support their development of effective and culturally responsive child welfare services. We work in partnership with Tribes to provide consultation, staff development and technical assistance designed to strengthen Tribal child welfare systems and improve outcomes for Native youth and families experiencing care. In 1999, we opened our Denver office, where the Indian Child and Family Well-being Program (ICFWP) is based today.
Our ICFWP team works on national and Tribal initiatives that aim to strengthen Tribal Nations’ capacity to keep children healthy, safe and connected with their families, communities and cultures. Casey Family Programs approaches our work with Tribes with Tribal sovereignty at the forefront, supporting nation-building efforts and partnerships with the broader child welfare community.
