Founded in 1966, Casey Family Programs works in all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and with tribal nations across North America to influence long-lasting improvements to the well-being of children, families and the communities where they live.
We provide support to our teams across the country so our work continues uninterrupted. Our staff work in communications, facilities, finance, human resources and organizational development, investments, legal services and technology services. Each of us has a role to play in building Communities of Hope.
At the end of 2025, Casey Family Programs’ assets totaled $2.9 billion.
In 2025, Casey Family Programs spent $142 million in pursuit of our vision of safely reducing the need for foster care and building Communities of Hope, where all children can grow up safely in their own families and communities with access to the resources and opportunities they need
to reach their full potential.
Since our founding in 1966, Casey Family Programs has invested $3.6 billion to support improvements in programs, services and public policies that benefit children and families in the child welfare system.

System Improvement
We work in partnership with public child welfare systems, policymakers, courts, Tribal Nations and community partners across the country to improve child and family safety, stability and well-being.

Public Policy
We partner with policymakers at the federal, Tribal, state and local levels to provide nonpartisan, accessible, evidence-based information and data to educate and inform investments and policies that benefit children and families.

Direct child and family services
We operate nine field offices in five states — Arizona, California, Idaho, Texas and Washington — and work in a mix of urban, suburban and rural communities to provide a range of multidisciplinary services to children, young adults and families.

Indian child and family well-being
We partner with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes across the country to strengthen their capacity to keep children healthy, safe and connected with their families, communities and cultures.

The intersection of immigration and child welfare
We work in partnership with government, public child welfare systems, community organizations, courts and others to influence improvements to the policy and practices impacting children and families at the intersection of immigration and child welfare.

We work to change the national conversation around Building Communities of Hope, a shared responsibility that will require leadership in all five sectors — government, business, nonprofit and faith-based, philanthropic, and the community members themselves — working together to build hope for children and their families.
