Native American and Alaska Native children data trends
The percent of American Indian/Alaska Native children in care who are placed with kin has increased from 27 percent in 2010 to 35 percent in 2016. At the same time, the percent of American Indian/Alaska Native children in care who are placed in congregate care settings has declined, as has the percentage of those exiting care who age out each year.
