Anna Blanding joined the Board of Trustees in April 2026. She is Chief Investment Officer at Connecticut Community Outreach Revitalization Program (ConnCORP), an impact investment organization with a focus on real estate and business development in New Haven, Connecticut.

Eric Pettigrew joined the Board of Trustees in November 2022. He has a diverse background of work experience in various levels of government, the private sector and the nonprofit sector.

Dr. Benjamin Danielson joined the Board of Trustees in November 2022. He is a pediatrician and professor of practice at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he has worked for more than 30 years. He also worked at Seattle Children’s Hospital as a doctor and as the medical director of the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic.

Doug Patejunas joined the Board of Trustees in September 2016. He retired in 2014 after 30 years with Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting (formerly EnnisKnupp), where he served as lead investment consultant to a number of foundations and other not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Sharon L. McDaniel was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Casey Family Programs in 2005. She is the founder, president and CEO of A Second Chance, Inc., the nation’s leading nonprofit voice on kinship care. She has more than 40 years of professional experience as an award-winning child welfare leader in Pennsylvania.

America Bracho, a recognized expert in Latino health issues and public health, joined the Casey Family Programs Board of Trustees in January 2008. She is the president and CEO of Latino Health Access, a center for health promotion and chronic disease prevention and management located in Santa Ana, California. Latino Health Access (LHA) partners with the community to bring equity and sustainable change through education, services, consciousness-raising and civic participation. LHA facilitates mechanisms of empowerment for the community through the inclusion of community health workers at all levels of the organization and as leaders of equity, wellness and change.

Joan Poliak joined the Casey Family Programs board in 1982 and is the foundation’s longest-serving trustee. She currently serves as vice chair.

Walter Howard Smith, Jr. joined the Board of Trustees in September 2018 and became chair in June 2021. He is retired from the Allegheny County (Pennsylvania) Department of Human Services (DHS) in Pittsburgh, where he served as the DHS clinical director and the deputy director for Children, Youth and Families.

Lance G. Morgan, president and chief executive officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc., joined the Board of Trustees in September 2018. Ho-Chunk, the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, is the largest minority-owned company in the state and focuses on creating nongaming economic development opportunities for the tribal community.
