Career highlights
Prior to working at Casey, McCaulou spent seven years working in public accounting. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in accounting, focused on tax preparation and planning. He then spent three years working in the tax department of a prominent national bank.
Throughout his employment with Casey, McCaulou has held multiple positions that highlight his technical knowledge and management skills. In 2019, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, overseeing a dynamic team of diverse finance professionals who provide comprehensive accounting and financial services for the foundation. These responsibilities include financial statement accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with multiple annual audits, tax preparation and reporting, as well as all budgeting, forecasting and spending analysis activities. The Finance Services team cultivates a collaborative environment across all departments to align budgeting and financial activities with the organization’s strategic goals. McCaulou also oversees the Technology Services team, which supports the entire organization’s operations.
Public service, honors and professional affiliations
Outside of his responsibilities at Casey, McCaulou extends his skills and generosity to the nonprofit sector. He has served on the board of two nonprofit retirement homes. Additionally, he volunteers his time preparing nonprofit tax returns for a public charity focused on eradicating human trafficking in the Seattle area.
McCaulou’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University, which he earned in 1982. Three years later, he obtained his CPA certification and remains an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Washington Society of CPAs.
