Most child-welfare systems in the U.S. are run by states or counties. American Indian and Alaska Native tribes may also operate their own child-welfare systems.
As sovereign nations, many tribes are developing child-welfare practices and services rooted in their own cultures and values.
From Alaska and Arizona to North and South Dakota, different tribes face different challenges and obstacles. We provide training and technical assistance to set up and deliver direct services and to access the funding needed to sustain services.
Please join us in promoting the well-being of Native children and youth.
