About Casey Family Programs
Casey Family Programs is the nation’s largest operating foundation focused on safely reducing the need for foster care while improving the safety and well-being of children. Our mission is to provide and improve — and ultimately prevent the need for — foster care.
Founded in 1966, we work across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and with Tribal Nations to build lasting change by supporting communities in transforming how they protect and nurture the safety and well-being of children and their families.

Building Communities of Hope is our vision for a society where every child is safe, supported and able to realize their full potential. It is a collaboration across all five sectors — government, business, nonprofit and faith-based, philanthropic, and the community members themselves — to ensure thriving families have the resources and opportunities they need to raise happy, healthy children. By building Communities of Hope, we can create a true child and family well-being system that nurtures the safety and success of every child in every community, town, city and Tribal Nation across America.

Our leadership
Our Executive Team is responsible for overall strategic, financial, programmatic and operational direction of Casey Family Programs. Our Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring that the varied assets of Casey Family Programs are effectively used in support of the organization’s objectives and purposes. The board works with the president and chief executive officer to develop and review existing and proposed programs, as well as to promote strategic partnerships across the United States.

We are Casey
We have come to recognize that the safety and well-being of children must be seen in the context of their families, and that the stability and resilience of those families must be seen in the context of the conditions in the communities where they live. We work with a wide range of partners, including the children and families we serve each day, to:
