Roxanna Nowparast

Chief Program Counsel and Executive Vice President of Legal Services

Roxanna Nowparast joined Casey Family Programs in 2004 and became an executive vice president in 2016. She oversees the foundation’s legal affairs, provides counsel to leadership and staff, and helps with setting and implementing strategic goals from a legal perspective. She also oversees the foundation’s facilities team.

Career highlights

Nowparast joined Casey Family Programs as program counsel, and over the course of her time at Casey has been promoted to a variety of roles in our legal services department. She became managing director and senior program counsel in 2010 and was appointed as executive vice president in 2016. She has helped to establish a risk and compliance focus within the legal department; helped with critical areas, including risk management and privacy safeguards; and overseen the foundation’s accreditation process with the Council on Accreditation.

Prior to her arrival at Casey, Nowparast’s legal practice focused on business transactions at Miller Nash LLP (now Miller Nash Graham & Dunn), where she represented lenders, borrowers, purchasers and sellers in negotiating and documenting a variety of commercial, real estate and financial transactions. She also represented creditors in bankruptcy matters, negotiating the restructuring of businesses and debt. She holds a law degree (cum laude) from Seattle University and is admitted to practice in Washington and California.
