This list of resources supplements Supporting Success: Improving Higher Education Outcomes for Students in Foster Care. Published in 2010, Supporting Success provides education professionals and advocates — including college counselors, student support service programs and TRIO programs — with powerful tools for improving postsecondary education and training outcomes for students in and from foster care.

Updated in spring 2016, the additional resources in this supplement cover state- and college-level approaches, including research, practices and policies. A “Tools & Resources” section provides training materials, frameworks and blueprints for institutions working to improve their support for students from foster care. A final section offers models of successful college and community-based organizations working to support these youth.
